They can also post feedback through the comment section. Social media platforms such as TikTok have propelled most songs to popular culture.
NewsDay Weekender examined local musicians and the songs that rank among the top five on digital platform, YouTube.
Tamy Moyo and Master H
After its release three weeks ago, the duet featuring songbird Tamy Moyo and Master H titled Kelly Kelvedhura is currently the top trending local video on YouTube. The video has over 300 000 views and Master H fans have declared that the upbeat performer is currently the best Zimdancehall musician.
Master H born, Hillary Marufu, exudes energy during live performances which has endeared him to fans. He also made waves in the music industry through his song Dhanzi featuring hip-hop artiste Voltz Jt which many people referred to as Nawanadem, a catchy phrase that was part of the lyrics.
Following the success of her song Ndibereke, Tamy Moyo has been working on her career, releasing songs like Kuteera, which features top contemporary musician Jah Prayzah, 100 Kwandiri, Cassanova and Kwandinobva, among others.

Their song Mpira, is a favourite among young people. Fans have praised the artistes for showcasing talent rather than being explicit or vulgar. Bagga gained popularity following the release of his song Gevha and also produced songs like Nyarara and Jerusalema.
Dorcas Moyo
The gospel sensation recently released Ndinokutungamirira featuring First Class Group of Schools. The song reminds followers of Christ that they will always be guided by the Holy Spirit.
The gospel diva has risen from the ashes after being kicked out of a church choir for being talentless.
Her hits include, among others, Haakotsire, Ndipeiwo Mukana, Tirikutandara, Mhanza Haisekwe and Munoramba Muri Mwari. She is set to drop Mvere Dzabvepi, an album that will be released in Mutare on April 27. The album is a Christian production taken from Genesis 27 verses 21 to 27. The album is made up of 10 tracks including the title track Mvere Dzabvepi, Muroyi and Nhai Moses with themes centred on righteousness and spiritual introspection.
Gore Rino, a recently released song by Tembalami and the Unveiled, is also at the top of the list.
Takura
It seems the Afro-pop singer nicknamed “Mr Okay Okay” is at it again with his newly-released single titled Sofa Silahlane. A well-known figure in the music industry, Takura recorded several songs including Goosebumps, What If, Maimwana, Wandachuza, Hazvireve Rudo Handina and Haaroore.
In a recent podcast interview with Ollah 7, the musician revealed that he was on the verge of quitting music due to drug abuse and mental health problems. Takura said he allowed fame to get to his head to the point that he became hard to work with and he also neglected relationships.
He is back on his feet after coming out of rehabilitation.
