When we were in graduate school, a very common history question was as follows. “Learning history is useless because no one learns from history.”
In this letter, I am taking my que from one that I have admired for years, professor John Mearsheimer of Chicago.
Mearsheimer, in the article “Death and destruction in Gaza” October 2023, he argues that there is unmistakable evidence that the US-Israeli syndicate is committing arc rimes.
What Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US president Joe Biden have failed to learn, is that they have been driven out of country after country, despite their superior bombing capacity.
By highlighting atrocities in Gaza, the US-Israeli criminal syndicate has lost the moral raison detre for being there. In short the syndicate has lost the war.
“What Israel is doing to the Palestinians…with the support of the Biden administration (US) is a crime against humanity that has no military purpose.” (Mearsheimer)
But you will say, “Ken please wait, what is the US-Israeli syndicate doing in Palestine?”
The criminal syndicate, based on an attack on October 7 on Israeli occupiers, which killed 1 200, has decided to commit acts of such grotesque mass murders on Gaza’s 2.3 million population.

United Nations general secretary, Antonia Guitterez, says that: “The scope and disaster and civilian casualties is unfathomable.”
Mearsheimer says that the activities of the US-Israeli syndicate in Gaza is “mass assassination factory unprecedented in history.”
We take a pose here. Any journalist will be faced by robots programmed by Israeli agents who will challenge him.
“Do you condemn Hamas and the killing of 1 200 Jews on October 7th?” Before one can answer the question, the robot will cut the journalist off and proceed to the next question.
“So, you support Hamas?” At this time, one will realise that one cannot argue with mindless robots.
The questions that must be asked.
Until 2015, the US-Israeli syndicate had hegemonial influence in the main-stream news channels such as the New York Times, Washington Post, London Times, BBC, and Australian Broadcasting Co-operation.
Today, social media and Tik-Tok technology has bypassed these organisations.
The questions that should be asked are these?
Gas and oil fields were discovered in Gaza and the adjacent seabed in 2000. British Petrol received a license from Israel, allowing them to steal Palestinian gas reserves.
An Indian company called Infosystems is part of the deal. Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law owns Infosys.
So 2,3 million Gazans are brutalised and driven from their homes so Rishi Sunak’s wife, Akshata can wear her jewelry.
Why is Israel occupying Gaza strip? Why does Israel have the power to cut off Gaza’s water, electricity, and fishing rights? Why does Israel have a say in what type of government the Gazans elect?
In 2006, the US security advisor, Condoleeza Rice, overruled Hamas after it had won an election.
Matters of conscience
Many Israelis including Avnar Gravyahu have formed a group called: “Breaking the Silence.”
As a soldier, Avnar’s job was to disturb Palestinian families in the middle of the night, beat them up, humiliate and spit on them. They were innocent of any crime.
This happened until Avnar broke into a Palestinian doctor’s family in Nablus. The doctor sat him down and explained what the life of a Palestinian is like, living in fear, being woken up by ignorant people like Avnar.
Former president Jimmy Carter authored a book entitled, “Palestine not Apartheid 2006” Carter said that what was happening in Palestine went beyond the apartheid regime in South Africa.
A robotic interviewer asked him. “Is that worse than Rwanda?” Carter was ridiculed and called a “bitter old man” because he lost an election to Ronald Reagan, 1980.
The US-Israeli syndicate has tried to silence all opposition to their activities in Gaza by either shutting them up, making critics lose their jobs or merely speaking nice words with one side of the mouth while sending weapons of mass destruction to Israel to kill Palestinians.
As we go to press, Washington Post (October 11) says that white phosphorus was sent to Israel. Israel used this chemical (a weapon of Mass destruction) in Lebanon.
Israel says that the patriotic Hamas fighters have been hiding in hospitals. The World Health Organisation says that 26 hospitals have been bombed. In all these 521 people have been killed, including doctors and health staff.
No weapons of mass destruction have been found.
It began to dawn on me that this is an old carry-over story from the Iraq war. In that country, 3 million people were displaced, 300 000 killed. There were no weapons of mass destruction.
So, Netanyahu and Biden decide that Israel must be allowed to steal Gaza gas and petrol resources.
Then these two decide that the 2.3 million people living there must be removed. Then, with the help of Britain, they decide that British Petrol and Infosystems (Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law company) must share the proceeds of Gaza minerals.
Of the 20 000 Gazans murdered, 14 000 of them were women and children. It means that 6 000 were patriots. In addition, 1.3 million have been displaced including a 12-year-old girl named Anbar by a US-Israeli bomb.
Her dream was to attend medical school so she could help people who lost limbs like herself. A few days ago, she died from another US-Israeli bomb, thus ending her dreams forever.
US secretary for defence Lloyd Austin in a moment of revelation, said the following statement. “Israel is sacrificing a strategic victory for a tactical victory.”
If Israel has not found a single Hamas patriot, even that tactical victory is delusional.
