
The Zimbabwe boys and girls golf teams are currently in Tunisia where they are taking part in the 2025 All Africa Junior Golf Team Championship as they seek to qualify for the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup qualification.
The event teed off yesterday and is set to conclude on Sunday.
A total of 15 other countries are taking part in the annual continental championship for junior golfers.
Last year, the Zimbabwe team managed to qualify for the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup qualification after finishing second at the event.
Only the top two countries in the boys and girls categories will book a ticket to the global championship which is held in Japan.
The Zimbabwe boys team comprises four members namely Thomas Sinclair, Tanaka Chatora, Brandon Amm and Tawana Mangoma.
Chatora, Mangoma and Amm were part of the team that did well at the tournament last year and will be looking to end defending champions South Africa's run of 17 consecutive titles.
There are three golfers in the girls team led by Miriam Masiya who has been in sparkling form on the local amateur scene while Zarina Makwarimba and Lilly Ascot are also part of the team.
