The Insurance Council of Zimbabwe (ICZ) says it will host its annual charity golf day on Friday next week in Bulawayo.
This year, organisers said they were looking to raise funds for Cure Zimbabwe, a Bulawayo-based organization that provides life changing surgery to children in Zimbabwe who require orthopedic care or plastic such as clubfoot, bowed legs, and knocked knees to children regardless of their economic status.
Cure Zimbabwe is the first and only charitable children’s hospital in the country and it has 18 beds, three operating rooms, and an outpatient clinic.
The golf event is scheduled to take place on March 28 at The Country Club.
It will be a four-ball alliance game followed by the individual stableford.
“The ICZ charity golf tournament has a proud history of supporting worthy causes. Last year’s event raised significant funds, which were donated to accident victims and underprivileged disabled children at St Giles Rehabilitation Centre,” ICZ public relations and marketing manager Ringisayi Batiya said.
“The donation included essential mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, and braille machines.”
The tournament promises to be a fun-filled day, networking and giving back to the community.
