FC Platinum has received a significant boost from FBC Holdings ahead of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
The Zvishavane-based side, seeking to reclaim their dominance in the top flight, yesterday secured a sponsorship deal worth US$150 000 per season for the next two years from the financial services organisation.
The sponsorship package will go a long way in bolstering the team for the forthcoming season.
FBC head of investor relations and communications, Priscilla Sadomba, said they are committed to supporting FC Platinum as they aim to reclaim the PSL title.
“With our longstanding presence in Zvishavane, we recognise the significant role that FC Platinum, as a local football club, plays in the community,” Sadomba said. “Given the team’s foundation in Zvishavane, we believe it is both fitting and strategic to support the team’s growth.
“In this regard, we are pleased to announce that FBC Holdings has sponsored US$150 000 to FC Platinum for the 2025-2026 soccer season, as part of our corporate social investment initiatives.”
She added: “This sponsorship underscores our dedication to fostering local talent and promoting the spirit of sportsmanship. It also reflects our broader goal of contributing to the development and empowerment of the Zvishavane community.
“Furthermore, it is encouraging to note that the sponsorship aligns with our group’s sustainability thrust, which aims to improve the social, environmental, and financial well-being of the communities we serve.”
