HERENTALS coach Paul Benza has expressed concern over his team's wastefulness in front of goal after their ten-match unbeaten run was stopped by Ngezi Platinum Stars at the weekend.
The Students suffered a 2-1 defeat to the champions in a match that was played at Rufaro Stadium.
Match officials were caught in controversy once again after Obriel Chirinda's strike was allowed to stand despite the Ngezi forward appearing to be in an offside position.
Referee Allan Bhasvi's second assistant Virimayi Muroiwa kept his flag down much to the dismay of the Students.
Takunda Benhura broke the deadlock before Milton Chimedza restored parity.
"It's a bad day for us on and off the field of play," said Benza in apparent reference to the defeat as well as loss of the team’s security officer Edgewell Mushore who died after a short illness.
"We were looking to stretch our unbeaten run to 11 games but it wasn't to be. We are very hurt because we would have wanted to win the match and dedicate it to our chief security officer Edgewell Mushore but we dust ourselves up and prepare for the next assignment.
"We played well but missed clear chances which we created."
