Parly tours suspended ahead of Sadc Summit

This year's Sadc Summit will be held at the New Parliament building, after which Zimbabwe will assume the chairmanship of the regional bloc.

PARLIAMENT of Zimbabwe has suspended all visits to the New Parliament building in Mt Hampden from July 22 to September 1 in preparation for the SADC Summit scheduled for August 8 to 18, 2024.

In a notice to stakeholders, Parliament said: "All visitors and stakeholders are cordially informed that due to New Parliament Building precincts hosting the SADC conference from the 8th-18th August 2024, Parliament tours will be suspended from 22nd July to 1st September 2024. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this conference period."
