MUTARE-BASED musician Richard Femayi is leaving no stone unturned as he fine-tunes his music in his quest to dish out the best.
This can be seen through his latest offering after he roped in talented musician Obert Chari in his new single titled Chamhamha.
Femayi, who leads the seven-member Orchestra Hararambe band, has been releasing singles in the last few months.
To him, Hararambe means happiness.
In making his intentions known in the music circles, the up-and-coming musician has sought the services of seasoned guitarists for his band in the mould of Spencer Khumbulani, Tekenye Vinyu and Obert Gomba.
In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style yesterday, Femayi said he roped in seasoned Chari in his new single Chamhamha.
Chari, leader of the ZCC Hakireni Stars band, is best known for his hit songs Mebo, Gombo, Jambwa, Baba naMai and Ngoma Yemugidhi, among many others.
Femayi’s latest song Chamhamha was recorded at Kunashe Studious.

“It is very true I have a new single titled Chamhamha and Obert Chari is featuring in the song. He is an experienced musician and his experience was crucial in the song,” he said.
“We have released several singles in the last few months and have been enjoying airplay on several local radio stations and this shows we are getting somewhere.
“Starting next month, we are hoping to start holding live shows, but we will be starting in Mutare before we take the acts to other areas.”
Chari said he worked with several artistes in the country, adding that collaboration was good for the music industry.
“I have worked with several artistes in the country and Richard Femayi is one of them and I encourage him to continue working very hard,” he said.
Chari is a prominent member of the ZCC Mbungo Church.
Femayi will be hoping to also capitalise on the fame of other Mutare-based musicians such as Blessing Shumba, Dorcas Moyo and Hosiah Chipanga.
Recently, Femayi released a single track applauding the healing powers of a local prophet, Madzibaba Shepherd Nzira, who has become a sensation in the eastern border city.
The Orchestra Hararambe leader described Nzira as a true man of God.
Nzira is the son of the late Chitungwiza prophet Madzibaba Nzira, who was a popular spiritual healer whose shrine attracted high-ranking government officials and renowned businesspeople, among a long list.
