LOCAL hospitality firm Red Apple Hotels (RAH) has reopened the Brondesbury Park Hotel Nyanga in the Eastern Highlands, after more than two decades of inactivity, businessdigest reports.
The hotel in Nyanga town, once acquired by African Sun Hotels in 2007, now belongs to the Dutch based horticulture firm Cacti Youngplants B.V.
The deal was approved by the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (Zida).
While the Dutch firm owns the hotel, RAH owns the operating assets and business under a lease from Cacti Youngplants B.V..
“It is a partnership,” RAH chief executive officer Francis Ngwenya told businessdigest.
“The building is owned by a Dutch investor FDI (foreign direct investment) registered with Zida, who is into horticulture. We own the hotel’s operating assets and business. We lease the building from him.
“As of September 2022, Red Apple Hotels opened the newly refurbished Brondesbury Park Hotel. After over two decades of inactivity, Brondesbury Park Hotel Nyanga is now officially back to cause a splash in the Eastern Highlands.
“Don’t spend all your time in the stylish rooms as the hotel offers way more. The newly refurbished hotel boasts an amazing view of the grand Nyanga mountain ranges, beautiful dams, and a large swimming pool,” he added.

Ngwenya, who is past president of the Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe, said the four events and conference facilities sported by the hotel surpass its competitors by accommodating up to 200 guests.
Brondesbury Park Hotel boasts 38 rooms that include a lavish honeymoon suite, deluxe and executive rooms.
All the rooms are equipped with ensuite bathrooms with shower over bath, four conference rooms with fireplaces, cocktail bar, a la carte restaurant, and free Wi-Fi.
The hotel is located six thousand feet up in the foothills of the Nyanga Mountains and sits on 22 hectares of land with scenic country views that include the Northern Nyanga Mountain range.
It can be found 62 kilometres from Rusape, on the Nyanga-Rusape Highway.
“While being the new kid on the block and under new management, the hotel accommodates the needs of its guests to ensure their desires of either a peaceful getaway or an adventure-filled hotel resort with tonnes of activities to scrapbook” RAH said.
“Thus far, Brondesbury Park Hotel Nyanga has enraptured the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and visiting international Travel Agents, pre-Sanganai Travel Expo exhibition tour and made them infatuated with the hospitality, food, and sparkling atmosphere.”
According to RAH, the reopening of the Brondesbury Park Hotel is also part of the company’s plans to attract business and leisure tourism.
“Brondesbury Park Hotel continues to be an excellent conference venue ideal for a variety of business, church and other different meetings,’ RAH said.
“The hotel is also extremely popular with outdoor and garden functions, such as weddings, and incentive group activities.”
According to the ZTA, Nyanga is one of the country’s top destinations and home to the only skywalk in Zimbabwe and one of the highest ziplines in the world at Mtarazi falls.
The town is much loved for its great cuisine and the trout fish.
