Makaka plots big after DJ Levels brought Mashwede to US

Based in the US, Makaka recently hosted the thrilling Zim Cultural and Music Festival in Dallas Texas that was sponsored by Xcelerate Enterprises.

TRAILBLAZING Zimbabwean music promoter Bevan Makaka is plotting a bigger show in the US set to pit DJ Fantan with Levels among other popular local artists.

Based in the US, Makaka recently hosted the thrilling Zim Cultural and Music Festival in Dallas Texas that was sponsored by Xcelerate Enterprises.

The festival was graced by the Zimbabwean Ambassador to the US Tadeous Chifamba.

According to excited fans at the festival, DJ Levels exquisite performances are akin to the local popular weekly Mashwede China Chemadzimai shows.

The Xcelerate Enterprises owner said their goal is to showcase Zimbabwean music to the world in similar fashion to what the Nigerians have done successfully.

“Look at Burna Boy and Davido? We want to expose these guys to the world and what a better way to blow off their careers than in the US?”

“We are looking forward to bigger shows, bigger artistes, Fantan is lined up and of course Levels

Freeman HKD Boss, Trevor Dongo and crew arrived in Dallas Texas for the two-day festival on March 28.

“The Dallas audience in the US was very thrilled with the news of their arrival, we had an amazing show two days later that was almost filled to capacity.”

Also among the local performers was Tariro Gezi, while Madam Boss was a special guest.

He added that fans who attended the indoor show were dished with a musical mix from local and international artistes who included Julian King and Drew Nova.

“We had an amazing time, the artistes were on stage for than four hours, everybody was on their feet dancing and dancing.

To cap it all, Xcelerate Enterprises hosted an outdoor event the following day were vendors sold Zimbabwean food and ornaments from Africa.

“It was such a vibe to just bring in a lot of Zimbabweans under one place, one ground were we were listening to music from Levels Productions.”

“Levels was doing what he does when he is at Mashwede, he brought Mashwede vibes to America, he kept everyone dancing, and there was a lot of local food too.

“I must say the visiting artistes were overly happy, they enjoyed being in the US.”

The following day the musicians toured New York City in order to have a feel of the US, Makaka added.
